Introduction

Flags serve as markers for specific events or conditions within your logistics operations. It's important to note that flags do not automatically generate email alerts; they are created by the notifications you configure. This system makes it easier for users to stay informed about critical events related to shipments.

📢 Configuring Notifications

Once flags are set by user-configured automations, you can configure notifications for them to ensure that the right individuals receive timely updates.

📜 Notification Settings

Access the "Flags" tab within the Automations-section to view a list of all possible flags that can be created.

📩 Direct notifications vs daily overview

When a flag is set for a tradeflow, two options are possible for the notification:

📨 Direct Email

This option sends an email for each individual flag that has been set. For example, if multiple containers in a shipment are delayed, you'll receive separate emails for each container. This option is useful when you need real-time updates for each flagged event.

📋 Include in Daily Report

With this option, instead of receiving individual notifications for each flag, you'll receive a daily email summarizing all active flags. This consolidated view provides a list of all flagged items in a single email, making it easier to review multiple events at once. The daily summary is particularly handy for users who prefer a more comprehensive overview rather than immediate alerts.

📬 Notification Recipients

Users have control over who receives notifications for each event:

🆘 Backup Contact

Users can designate a backup contact within Dockflow who will receive notifications if no other user is configured to receive them. This ensures that no critical events are missed, even if primary recipients are unavailable.
